| Question: | Who is OpenSRS and CIRA? What does Mecca do as a registrant's role? | | Answer: | OpenSRS is a cooperative SLD (second level domain name) registration service managed by TUCOWS.com Inc. OpenSRS is fully accredited by ICANN and officially recognized by Network Solutions. It is a completely open system that has been designed to allow domain name resellers that are not ICANN or NSI affiliated to register domain names at wholesale rates.
New domains are registered with the Tucows registrar using the OpenSRS system.

CIRA is the Canadian Internet Registration Authority. It is a non-profit Canadian corporation that is responsible for operating the .ca Internet country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) for all Canadians in an efficient and professional manner.

Mecca will act as the interface between the public (applicants) and the Domains wholesaler (OpenSRS/TuCows or CIRA) .
Applicants go through our domain system to register a domain in which is supplied by our domains wholesaler.
We also provide:
